Hongi Hika??
Hongi Hika
Hongi Hika was a powerful chief and Hongi Hika lived
in the northland.
He killed maori people because of what happened to his family.But Hongi Hika was quite friendly with the missionaries but sometime not friendly with the maori.In 1820 Hongi Hika signed to go to England with Thomas Kendall.The king give Hongi Hika a swords and a chain armour to fight with his enemies.Hongi Hika went to Sydney to Exchange his gift for 300 muskets. He used the muskets ti kill more than 5000 people from other tribes. One time Hongi Hika killed people but he forgot his armour and died. He also lost two of his sons in the battle.
